Customer Payment & Identification Policy

For customer safety, security and compliance, Australia Gold & Silver Exchange (AGSE) follows a strict payment and record-keeping policy for all gold, silver, jewellery, coin and precious metal transactions.

AGSE does not accept or pay cryptocurrency, digital currency or any other virtual assets.

For any purchase or sale valued at AUD 10,000 or more, payment must be made by bank transfer only to or from a bank account held in the customer’s own name.

Cash payments may be available only for smaller transactions, subject to AGSE’s internal compliance checks and available cash float.

AGSE does not split transactions or payments to avoid reporting thresholds or compliance requirements.

For significant transactions, customers may be required to provide valid identification. AGSE may also keep transaction records, item photos, signed purchase receipts, payment records and customer declarations.

These procedures are in place to protect customers, prevent fraud, and support AGSE’s compliance with Australian legal, banking and record-keeping requirements.

Transaction, Payment and Record-Keeping Compliance Statement

ARIAN NSW PTY LTD trading as Australia Gold & Silver Exchange (AGSE) operates a licensed second-hand jewellery and precious metals buying business in New South Wales.

AGSE buys and sells gold, silver, jewellery, coins, bullion and other precious metal items from retail customers through temporary shopping centre activations and approved retail locations.

As part of AGSE’s internal compliance, security and record-keeping procedures:

AGSE does not accept or pay cryptocurrency, digital currency or any other virtual assets.

For any transaction involving precious metals, jewellery, coins or precious metal products valued at AUD 10,000 or more, AGSE requires payment to be made by bank transfer only to or from a bank account held in the customer’s own name.

AGSE does not split transactions, invoices or payments for the purpose of avoiding reporting thresholds, banking requirements or compliance obligations.

AGSE maintains customer identification records, item descriptions, item photos, weight and purity details, signed purchase receipts, payment confirmations and transaction records for significant transactions.

AGSE may request additional information from a customer where a transaction is large, unusual, inconsistent, or where further verification is reasonably required.

AGSE reserves the right to refuse, delay or cancel any transaction where identification is not provided, ownership cannot be reasonably confirmed, payment details do not match the customer, or the transaction raises compliance, fraud, theft, banking or legal concerns.

This policy is maintained to support customer protection, fraud prevention, responsible business operations, banking transparency and compliance with applicable Australian laws and record-keeping obligations.
